CHOICE ROSES

FINE EXHIBITION AT THE HUTT LIST OF AWARDS. It says a great deal for horticulture in the Hutt that, in spite of the boisterous weather in. the last few weeks, such, an excellent collection of roses should be exhibited as was the case at the Rose Show of the Hutt Valley Horticultural Society, which opened at the Lower Hutt Town Hall this afternoon. There is no doubt that the quality of the blooms" is in every way on a level with last year's, while the entries in the competitive classes, though not as satisfactory in quantity as could be desired, show improvement on those received at the last Rose Show. As usual the special stands, provided this time by Messrs. Trevethick, Waugh, and M'Millan, are a distinct feature, and attracted considerable attention rluring the afternoon.
