THE SYDNEY'S WOUNDED

UNOFFICIAL STATEMENT. y MELBOURNE, 15th November. The Navy Office announces unofficially that the following information has been received from the manager of the Eastern Extension Company at the Islands : — " The following members of the Sydney's crew were wounded : Lieutenant Hampden, Seamen Butcher, Gascoyne, and Meklrum." No other particulars are supplied. It is considered probable that these four were left behind at the Cocos Group.
