Samoa, and Fiji close at Auckland, on Monday, 19th October, at 8.45 a. ra. The advertised times for closing mails by steamers are liable to alteration (earlier or later) at any moment. Parcels for despatch by steamers and trains, with the exception of the usual Ferry steamers for Southern Offices, close at the Chief Post Office, Wellington, one hour before the advertised times of closing of mails. As the last clearance of the City receivers is made at 6 p.m. on Saturdays, all correspondence for the Sunday night Auckland express must be posted at the Chief Post Office not later than 8 p.m. on Sunday. The Parcel Mail per Main Trunk Express closes at the C.P.O. at 10.30 a.m,, and for the South per Ferry Steamer at 6 p.m. The public are earnestly requested to register all letters containing money or valuables intended to be sent by post. All books and sample packets and newspapers for places within the Dominion must be posted half an hour before the ordinary letter mail closes. All the principal mails by train and steamer close at Te Aro and Courtenay-place Post Offices at the same hours as it the Chief Post Offlce, with the exception that there is no latefee clearance, and that mails by the ferry steamers for Southern Offices close at 6 pan Malls for Auckland and Auckland District per Second Main Trunk Express close at Courtenayplace at 6 p.m. and Te Aro 8 p.m. Unless otherwiso specified, registered letters and parcels post packages must be handed hi and money orders oblaiDed one hour before the Wdittftfy twll closes.
