Expect beat Garance and Passadena over a mile in lmin 45sec. Adroit and Pariform were together at the end of six furlongs in lmin 19sec. Allen Doone went twice round at half-pace Fair Rosamond did six furlongs in lmin 174 sec. Try Hard and a half-sister to Sanguinary covered five in lmin s|sec. Downham finished well over five in lmin 3 3-ssec. Football, Blackall, and Kimbombi finished in that order at the end of a mile in lmin 48sec. Queenlike * moved freely over five furlongs in lmin 3^sec. Sea Pink beat Steinheil over seven in lmin 34 4-ssec. Whakehoki led Hiwatapu at the end of a similar distance in lmin 35sec. Mummer beat Okawa over five furlongs in 52^sec. Papador was going better than Cousin Jack at the end of six furlongs on the course proper in lmin 20sec. Indigo and Alces went half a mile in 52sec. Immensity finished a length ahead of Settler, with Mysteriarch six lengths away, at the end of seven furlongs in lmin 34 l-ssec. Rangitira was going better than Sicily at the end of three furlongs in 37sec. Nocturnal led Bunting over four furlongs in 52sec. Others on tho course were not asked _to extend themselves. Sacarelle, the Highden two-year-old, is reported to be an unlikely starter.
