ENERGY AGROUND NEAR THORNDON BATHS
— During the past day or two the small vessels in the harFSour have pulled a good deal on their anchors in consequence of the strong north-westerly winds. The strain has evidently been too much for the small trawler Energy (66 tone), and this morning she dragged her anchor and went aground near the Thorndon Baths. To all appearances the little vessel nas by come means made a good deal of water, and at low tide- to-day she had a big list. Attempts were made to pump the water out this morning, but they were fruitless. An effort will probably be made at high-tide to-morrow by Capiain Nicholas, of the Opawa, to tow the Energy off. The trawler has been laid up in the stream for some months. Prior to this she was engaged in trawling in Cook Strait and elsewhere.
