(PRESS ASSOCIATION.) VICTORIAN WHEAT SEASON. WORST FOR FORTY-SIX YEARS. (Received September 23, 10 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. A farmer informed the Commodities Commission that the present wheat season, was the worst for forty-six years. NEW SOUTH WALES AND LOANS REGARDING UNEMPLOYMENT. (Received September 23, 10.10 a%m.) SYDNEY, This Day. In the .' Legislative Assembly, Mr. Holinan. (the Premier) stated that he. proposes to introduce a. Bill to permit loans to be raised at a higher rate of interest than four per centum ; also a temporary measure of retrenchment of the public service. Regarding unemployment, Mr. Holman said that only three per centum of the population of New South Wales was unemployed. The Government contemplates building canvas houses during the summer for families without homes.
