HIDE AND SKIN SALES
(DV TELEGRAPH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) NEW PLYMOUTH, 22nd Sept. The first hide and skin sales held since the war broke out took place today. In all 600 hides, 3000 calfskins, and 1500 sheepskins were offered. Calfskins sold for 5s a piece, ox hides to 9£d per Ib, butchers' cowhides to B^d, and so on.
