COMPOSITION OF THE SENATE. ■ (By Telegraph.— Press Association.—. Copyright.) SYNDEY, 11th September. Tlie Federal election returns are still dribbling in. The Senate figures have reached a stage where they are not likely to alter much. Two Liberals, Messrs. CouW and Millen, are apparently safe in New South Wales, but a third, Mr. Oakes, looks like having a defeat. Two Liberals have eood chances, with a possible third, in Tasmania. In South Australia a Liberal tops the poll, and the other Liberals are out of , the running. In the' other States Labourites have strong leads. On the present showing the Senate will be composed as under : — l<abour 31 Liberal 5 SYDNEY, 11th September. By the latest count, it is placed beyond doubt that Riverina artd Corio have gone to Labour, and- Gippsland to an Independent candidate. Grampians is still doubtful. MELBOURNE,^This Day.
