Fat cattlo showed a further hardening- of prices, and the fat sheep sale opened at an advance of about Is per head, and -afterwards eased off to last week's rate. Store sheep also sold well. There was a keen demand for fat pigs, especially for porkers, and prices showed some improvement. Store sheep : Fairly good hoggets, 15s '3d ; two and four-tooth halfbred wethers, 16s 9d to 17s 3d; two, four, and sixtooth wethers (very forward), 19s 3d; four, six, and eight-tooth ewes, with good lambs, 11s, all counted; full and failing mouth ewes (ift lamb), 12s 2d; full-mouth ewes, inferior, with lambs, 7s 6d, all counted. j Fat sheep : Extra prime wethers, to ! 355 ; prime, 23s to 295 ; others, 21s to 295; others, 21s to 22s 6d; merino wethers, 18s stl to 23s lOd ; extra prime ewes to 27&; prime, 20s to 25s 9d; -others 17s 3d to 19s 6d ; hoggets, 17s to los od. Fat cattle : Ordinary steers, £8 5s to £12 id; ex tra, to £10 10s; ordinary heifers, £6 7s to £9 ; extra, to £12 10s ; ordinary cows, to £12 17s 6d. Price per iOOib, 32s 6d to 40s. Store cattle : Yearlings, 335 ; 15 to 18months sorts, £3 14s 6d; 3-year steers, f ' ip 8 (P^ed), 3-year heifers, £4 7s to £4 15s j dry cows, £1 15s to £5 10s ; dairy cows, £3 10s to £11 10s.
