PEOPLE'S PICTURE PALACE.
A story of a gambler's career and how he was saved by a good woman's influence, is contained in the "star" picture shown in conjunction with an allnew programme at the People's Picture Palace to-day. The title is "The Gambler," and the tal6 centres round Oscar, the -son of Vivian Alton, a banker, who is disowned by his father owing to his gambling pioclivities. The film is a very powerful one. The remainder of the programme includes many of the latest and most successful releases.
