OVERSEAS CONTINGENTS
THE INDIAN TROOPS. j (Received September 10, 2 p.m.) LONDON, 9th September.. The Indian contingents, numbering 70,000 men, arrived this week, the first of the overseas contingents. SIMLA, 9th September. The Indian Government is contributing a> million sterling towards the cost of the Indian contingent. Accompanying the Expeditionary Force are Sir Pertab Singh, the Maharajahs of Bikaner, Patiala, Rutlam, Ushcngart, and Jodh Pur, the Nawabe of Pasjora, Sachin and Bhopal, and also Profeseor Mallik. CANADIAN FORCE REVIEWED. OTTAWA, 9th September. The Duke of Connaught reviewed 2500 Canadians for tho Expeditionary Forces, at Montreal. Their training is practically completed.
