ACTING ON THE OFFENSIVE
GENERAL JOFFRE'S PLANS. (Received September 9, 9 a.m.) LONDON, Bth September. The Press Bureau states that General Joffre's plans are being steadily carried out, and the Allies are acting on the offensive. The Bureau confirms the Bordeaux official statement of the successful forcing back in a north-easterly direction of the German right wing.
