ENTERTAINMENTS
HARRY LAUDER.
There was a large and delighted audience at the Grand Opera House last evening to hear the repetition of the capital programme with which the Harry Lauder season opened. The programme was varied by t"ne non-appear-ance of Miss Kitty Ryan, who had sprained her ankle, and Mr. Lauder filled the gap by singing "Barney of Killarney." Mr. Lauder's songs were highly enjoyed, the audience being at t^mes reduced to a delightful discomfort in the extremity of mirth. The supporting company gave a variety programme of unusual excellence. A matinee is being given this afternoon, and this evening new items will be introduced by Mr. Lauder. The programmes for to-morrow and Friday will also be varied. On Friday afternoon a matinee, the whole proceeds of which will be devoted to the Patriotic Fund, will be given.
