FATHERS CRIME
ATTEMPTED MURDER OF HIS CHILD. (BT TELEGRAPH PRESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, 7th September. William Tynan, charged with attempting to murder' his daughter on 19th May, was found guilty at t,he Supreme Court to-day, sentence being deferred until to-niorrow. Tynan waylaid his little daughter on her return from school, cutting her throat with a razor, the injuries being of a serious character. A plea of insanity was raised by the defence:" " ' • -"■>""> This Day. Tynan was to-day sentenced to seven years' imprisonment.
