A BRIGHTER, FREER DAY FOR EUROPE
EMANCIPATING THE GERMANS. (Received September 7, 8 a.m.) LONDON, 6th September. Sir Edward Grey (Foreign Minister), in a letter says: "England is engaged in a conflict with a militarism under which Western Europe will fall if the Germans succeed. "If the independence of the smaller State is secured, the German people themselves will be freed from the Prussian militarism which has driven 'Germany into conflict with Emope. A brighter, freer day for Europe will compensate for the awful sacrifices,".
