ELECTRICITY FOR PAHIATUA
(BY TELEGRAPH.— PIUSSS ASSOCIATION.) PAHIATUA, 31st August. A poll of ratepayers was taken today on the proposal to borrow £10,000 to establish electric light and power works in t-he borough. A Wellington electrical expert's report has already been obtained. The proposal was carried by a majority of 142' votes. The old-estab-.lishcd gasworks here are owned by a private company.
