WOMAN'S BODY FOUND IN HARBOUR. The body of a woman, name unknown, was found at Kidd's Bay, in the vicinity of Evans Bay, at noon to-day by Constable M'Kelvey. Deceased was apparently abput 35 years of age, Sft Sin in height, of medium build, dark brown hair, and full face, but no teeth. She Was fairly well dressed in a bliio eerge costume, with .large jet buttons on tho coat, and "D.1.C." on tab. She wore a white silk blouse, with six pearl buttons in front-: a white scarf fastened with a small blue brooch, blue and white patterned cotton petticoat, black lace-up shoes, green felt hat, with brown band, and black rotton gloves. There were slight abrasions on the face, which might have been caused by the rocka where the body was found with the face downwards. It was evident that the body must have floated to where it was found, as the, tide was going out at the time. The body, which had the appearance of being in the water about three or four, days, was removed to the morgue. No report has been ma^'de to Ihe police of ' any person missing, so that any person who may be able to identify the ,bpdy from the. description given should communicate with the authorities. CRUSHED TO DEATH. A German seaman named Peter Weiss, 25 years of age, belonging to the ShawSavill steamer Waimana, fell last night from the gangway or the wharf into the rope net stretching from tho wharf to tho deck of the liner, and he was crushed to death before he could be pulled out. Thi deceased had no relatives in this Dominion, but it is stated that ho had friends living in Canada. An inquest will bo held at 4 o'clock
