The wheat and flour afloat for tho United Kingdom totals 2,830,000 quarters; for the Continent, 1,865,000: Atlantic shipments, 530,000; Pacific, nil. The total shipments to Europe during the week amounted to 1,432,000 quarters, including Australasian 33,000. HIDES. The hides sales were very quiet. Trade is depressed. Queensland's, 8 11-16 dto 8 13-16 d; New South Wales, 8 9-16 dto 8 11-16 d. Leather. — Market quiet. Best heavy Sydney, 14d to 15{d ; Melbourne, 14id to 15id. Basils. — In good demand. First Sydney's, 15£ d to njd; New Zealand's, 17d to 21^d. FROZEN MEAT. LONDON, 12th July. The Incorporated Society of Moat Importers' Smithfield market quotations for the undermentioned classes of frozen meat aro based on actual sales of not less than ono hundred carcases of muttpn or lamb, or twenty-five quarters of beef of fair average quality. Thp quotations are not for selected lines, but for parcels fairly representative of tho bulk of Wie shipments now on the market. The prices which follow are on tho average a farthing per lb. moro than the values ex ship, this difference- representing tho average cost in expense, handling, conveyance, and selling the meat. The- quotations include, ex store : — New Zealand Sheep. — Canterbury heavy, 3 15-16 d; North Island, 3gd; best brands, 4§d.
