A SUMMIT ROAD
WADESTOWN TO NORTHLAND. A track, intended ultimately to be a drive, has lately been laid out along the crest of the Tinakori Hills, from Wadestown to Northland. The City Engineer (Mr. W. H. Morton) has had) the way surveyed, and it has been pegged out to give grades suitable for a drive.' -"Such v* "summit road " will provide excursionists with a series of magnificent views of Wellington and its neighbourhood, and as the tr#ck follows the crest of the lofty ridge, the outlook is equally fine on each side of the hills. At present it is diflScuit to make a connection between, the track and the main road at the Northland end at a satisfactory walking grade, but it is expected that the trouble can be overcome. <
