DAY'S BAY PAVILION

The pavilion in the public gardens at Day's Bay is at present being conducted by the Wellington City Council as a refreshment kiosk. T,t is inexpedient for the establishment to be run in this way, however, and the council is now calling for tenders, so that the place can be put into the hands of a contractor. Conditions have been drawn up, requiring that the "contractor has to keep the pavilion open all day and make certain provision for the needs of visitors, including the supply of hot water for picnickers.
