SPECIAL 1 MEETING OF UNION TO BE HELD. (Bt TELBQRAPH.— r.iESS ASSOCIATION.) DUNEDIN, This Day. A meeting of unemployed general labourers was called for this morning. The response- did not, it was claimed, indicate the true position of unemployment in Duriedin. Nineteen married men with eighty-five dependents and twenty-three single men with six dependents answered the roll-call. All are able-bodied men, who, it is stated, were anxious for work. It was resolved that a special meeting of the union be held to-night, and that probably _ steps will bo taken to place the position before Mr. Massey.
