LOSS OF THE KARLUK

The whaling steamer Harman has picked up Captain Bartlett off the Siberian coast, where he went across the ice after his steamer, the Karluk, was lost. The Harman. will attempt to break through the ice and reach the Karluk's marooned crew. fA cable message from New. York published on Saturday stated that Stefansson's Arctic vessel Karluk was crushed in the ice in January. The crew were marooned on Wrangel Island, but their fate is unknown, according to private messages received through Arctic ' vessels and sailors' letters.]
