The Lord Mayor opened the London headquarters of the club ab a. luncheon at the Waldorf Hotel. Among those present were Lordis Stanhope and Mcath, and the Agents-General foe the Australian States. Lord Northcliff (president and founde» ' ot the club) read telegrams from the Duke of Connaught, Mr. Deakin, tho Lord Mayoi 1 of. Melbourne, the Govev* nors of New Zealand, Tasmania, and West Australia, ' and the branches in New South Wales, Brisbane, Melbourne. Wollongong, and remote places like tho Falkland Isles. > Lord Selborrte and Lord Buxton (tho Governor-General Designate of South Africa) proposed and supported respec» tively the toast "The Dominions." Si» George Reid (High Commissioner fop Australia) and the Hon. Thomas Mackenzie (High Commissionei) for Now, Zealand) responded.
