THE TWO-GARMENT SOCIETY

This year's distribution of the Twogarment Society took place at Mrs. C. H. Izard's (hon. secretary), and the .vice-presidents had a busy morning sorting and packing. The following homes benefited :— Aged Needy, Ohiro, Alexandra, Seamen's, Rescue Work, Levin, St. John's Women Association, St. Mary's, St Peter's, St. Paul's, Charitable Aid, Convalescent, W.L.C. A., St. John Ambulance, Presbyterian Orphanage, Hospitalj Home of Compassion, and Salvation Army. Private cases were also helped. The vice-presi-dents are very grateful to their associates for warm clothing, to many kind friends in the country for knitting, to several business houses for reductions in prices of goods, and to Mr. R. Fletcher, and Messrs. Watkins, Tyer, and Tolan for valuable help. Her Excellency Lady _ Liverpool was present at the distribution, and distributed 26 garments. Hall, 43-176; Miss Harding, 26-17 ; Miss Hunt, 69-78 ; Mrs. C. H Izard, 376-699; Mrs. Izett, 36-39 ; Mrs. E. Levvey, 53-193 ; Miss A. M'Gregor, 33-51; Miss M'lntosh, 43; Miss R. M'Lellan, 32.60; Mrs. P. Nathan, 53-87; Mrs. Ponsonby, 26-142; Mrs. H. Rawson, 26-98; Mrs. C. B. Russell, 26; Mrs. Stott, 36-28; Mrs. Tennant, 38-134; Mrs. T. Young, 34-37. The garments totalled 3765.
