The cricket match between Marist Old Boys and representatives of the Shamrock Club (Blenheim) Avas concluded on Saturday, the local team winning by 20 runs on tbe first As sjiown in The Post on Saturday, the Marist team ran up a score of 139, and the visitors replied with 119. The friendly match between teams representing ~ the Wellington Municipal Officers' Association and the Christchurch municipal officers, begun on Good Friday, was concluded on Saturday, and reunited in a win for the Wellington team by an innings and 20 runs. The rest of tho Wellington first innings saw their figures run up to 201. a very eolid score of 65 being made by Griffiths, who was finally sent out by the fall of his bails. Christchurch went in again, but only put up 72. and the match was finished fairly early in the afternoon. Tho game was characterised by the utmost cheerfulness, and was evidently regarded rather as a moans of cementing friendship than as serious cricket.
