A PERFECT DAY
- Stormy weather prevailed in the vicinity of Foveaux Strait yesterday to as fat 1 north, as > Cook Strait. Wellington has been happily spared, the day being perfect. To-day the barometer is unsteady, with a falling tendency, but , locally the conditions are not threatening! It is predicted that fair to cloudy weather will be experienced in the north, but that it will be^ squally and changeable elsewhere. Rain is expected to fall on the West Coast and southernmost districts.
