FIRE AT PAHIATUA POST OFFICE STORE DESTROYED.
(BY TKLEOR»PH.— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) PAHIATUA, This Day. The Post Office store at Mangamutu, opposite the Pahiatua railway station, was totally destroyed by fire this morning. The Post Office records were saved. The cause of the fire is unknown, but it is believed to have originated in a chaffroom attached to the shop. The business is carried on by J. M'Nicol, whose stock was insured for £600. A portion of the stock was saved. The building is owned by E. J. Staunton, Motueka, but the insurance is not available. Don't wait until the fire fiend visits your property. Protect yourself now by a policy with the British Dominions General Insurance Company, Ltd., Panama-street, Wellington. — Advt.
