FAREWELL TO SIR R. MUNRO-FER-GUSON

Mr. Asquith (Prime Minisrefy Mr. Lewis llarcourt (Secretary of State for the Colonies) and Mrs. Harcourt, Lord Emmott (Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies) and Lady Emmott, and Captain Muirhead Collins (representing the Commonwealth) and Mrs. Collins attended a farewell luncheon given by Scottish Liberal M.P.'s to Sir Ronald Munro-Ferguson (Governor-General-De-signate of Australia) and Lady MunroFerguson. The luncheon took place in the House of Commons, Mr. J. CathcaTt Wason, M.P. (formerly of New Zealand) presiding. Mr. Asquith, in formally proposing Sir Ronald Munro-Fcrgu&on's health, paid a tribute to the guest's long Parliamentary services, and added that Sir Ronald was quite the right stamp of man for Governor-General of a new democracy.
