THE THREE ASSOCIATIONS BETTER UNDERSTANDING DESIRED. Some important proposals for the improvement of the game of cricket an Wellington were placed before the Management Committee of the Wellington Association at its meeting last night. It was urged some time ago that a better understanding should be brought about between the main association, the Wellington Junior Cricket Association, and the Warehousemen's Association. Cooperation, it was stated, was desirable, ix sub-committee, consisting of Messrs. Goldfinich and Mason, reported as follows : — (1) Any players from either association, showing good form during a cricket season may apply through their association secretary for a, place in one of the Wellington Cricket Association's senior teams. Such pla.yers to be allowed to play two or three matches without committing themselves to any liability for subscription, unless they decide to continue playing for the balance ot a season under the Wellington Cricket Association. (2) Some time early in the cricket season, club games fcliali be suspended, and a trial representative match shall be played over two Saturdays, these to include a sprinkling of, say, five or six members of the outside associations, who shall be eligible to be picked to represent Wellington province. (3) That a match be played this Easter between a Wellington second representative team of seniors and a team picked from members of the two outside associations. (4) That in any future representations to the Wellington City Council in connection with cricket business, all three associations shall be represented.
