j An interesting evening was sperrt on { Monday night al, the meeting of the jvbove 'society, the Itev. W. Hinkm occupying Uio choir. A coynmittee was set up to draft a syllabus i'ou the ensuing Fession. r.nd officers of the society were elected. The remainder of the evening wo. 1 * devoted to a "Mock Mayoral" election. Mrs. H. Hawkins and Mr. 11. StoH<l>odge uere the Independent oa-ndidatee, Mr. J. Hoole being the Socialist candidate. After c-:kli candidate had spokt'ii the vesting was taken, and Mr. lloole wad elected. At tho next meeting of the |-ociety there will be a debate on the question "That tho Mdii tiiucy of (lie British Suffragettes iv J Justifiable."
