INVERCARGILL, This Day. The autumn meeting of tho Southland Racing Club opened to-day in dull but tine weather. The course is in good order, and there is a large attendance. Results:— , Roslyn Hack Handicap, of 100 soys ; six furlongs.— Buller, 8.7, 1; United Service, 7.11, 2; Lady Lowburn, 7.7, 3. Won by a length. Time, lmin 17 2-ssec. Waverley Trot, of 130 soys : two miles. — Caretla 1, Frank Henry 2, Prince Gift 3. Won by five lengths. Time, smin 4sec.
