MINISTERS' ASSOCIATION TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, — I understand that a parade of Territorials called for yesterday (Sonday) was cancelled owing to a protest from the Ministers' Association. I cannot understand and do not agree with the ministers' attitude with regard to Territorials undergoing healthy exercises on Sundays instead of walking the street. _ However, there it is. Now, I am going to suggest something else for the above association to protest against, and that is the meetings held in tho streets and in the Opera House on Sudday evenings. As a resident Dear tho Royal Oak Hotel I cannot protest too strongly against the language indulged in by the speakers, and would like to know whether something could not be done to prevent their speaking on Sundays. Surely a Territorial parade does a young man more good than, say, an hour at a meeting in support of certain doctrines. Hoping the Ministers' Association and the police will note this protest.— l am, etc., A QUIET SUNDAY. 30th March.
