CHILDREN'S TEETH
USE OF BROWN BREAD AND FRUIT URGED. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) LONDON, 30th March.' The London County Council has ascertained that there is a bigger proportion of bad teeth among the children of the well-to-do than among the poorest, because the poor children eat coarse food, fewer sweets, and boiled sugar only. They take no caramels or chocolates which cling to the teeth. Tlie council urges the use of brown bread and fruit. Tt is stated that an apple eaten at the conclusion of a meal leaves the mouth physiolimically clean.
