CHRISTCHURCH, 28th March. The final of the first grade competition was resumed 'to-day. Rdccartpn, who were still 10 runs behind, had lost two wickets. The average for the season' side was very weak. The innings" closed for 237 runs. This left Sydenham 75 to get to win the championship. They ac-' complished this for the loss of three wickets The averages for the season disclosed the fact that Whitta made 745 for the season, with an average of 105. VVilson headed the bowling with 53 wickets, at an* average of 9.62. > DUNEDIN, 29th March. The senior cricket^ matches wera brought to a conclusion yesterday in fine weather. Grange, who defeated Opoho, won the championship.
