'NEW ZEALAND CONTROL. 'A meeting of the Management Committee of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association was held on Thursday night, Mr. R. St. J. Beere presiding. A letter was read from the Australian Association asking for a refund of part cost of cables in connection with the visit of the English Davis Cup team to New Zealand. The secretary was instructed to reply to the effect that the visit to New Zealand was an essential part of the tour, that the Australian Association undertook the liability for i the tour and received a large share of the proceeds, and that the enterprise ] of the New Zealand Association gave the Australian Association a profit, while the cost of the cable was a legitimate pa*4s of the expenses of the tour. The Otago Association wrote stating that the Carisbiook cricket ground would be available for the New Zealand championship meeting. 1914. The secretary said he had written to the Otago Association'asking for further information on, the matter.
