ARMY HEADS' RESIGNATIONS NOT ACCEPTED.

LONDON, 27th March. Sir John French and General Ewart resigned owing to the repudiation of the guarantees which they and Colonel Seely gave to Brigadier-General Gough. After Mr. Asquith had informed the King of the resignations, Sir John Fiench visited Buckingham Palace, and later the House of Commons. The resignations have not been accepted. Lord Haldane drafted the explanatory documents which were addressed by Sir John French to Brigadier-General Gough to the satisfaction of both.
