TOO MANY PASSENGERS STEAMSHIP COMPANY FINED.
(IT TCLEORIPB— FRISS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, This ' Day. At the Police Court, the Northern Steamship Company was charged with carrying 250 passengers in excess of the number authorised. The offence occurred during the strike troubles. The defendants were fined £2 on each of sixteen informations, in addition to the fine provided by the Act of 5s per head for every passenger carried in excess.
