The large hall at the Seamen's Institute was crowded last night, when a varied entertainment was provided by Miss Bland and some thirty young folks. Interest centred in the Maypole dance, which was so much appreciated by the seamen piesent that it had to be repeated. Master Eodney Pankhurst pleased the audience with his solo singing, and responded to a double encore. Mr. Wain, of the s.s. Clan Macdonald, sang • seven 1 solos. The Missioner {Mr. W. E. Cocks) who presided, referred to the fact that notwithstanding the small number of ships in port, the attendance of seamen was particularly gratifying as an evidence of the popularity of the Misgjpne to Seamen Institute. .
