The Right Hon. W. F. Massey is at Christchurch, the Hon. W. H. Herries at Tolago Bay, the Hon. J. Allen and the Hon. A. L. Herdman at Eotorua, the Hon. R, H. Rhodes at Auckland, and the Hon. F. "i/L. B. Fisher at Masterton. The other Cabinet Ministers are in Wellington. ' Mr C. A. Wilkinson, M.P. for Egmont, is on a visit to Wellington. i Mr. T. Y. Seddon, ALP, arrived in Wellington by the Wahine this morning. Earl Grey, accompanied by Countess Grey and Lady Sybil Grey, left Auckj land for Sydney by the Maheno 'on , Monday last. Mr. James M'Mahon, a well-known resident of Riwaka, arrived in Wellington this morning on his way to visit the Auckland Exhibition. Passengers by the Pateena from Nelson this morning included Archbishop Redwood, Rev. J. G. Chapman, Mr. J. H Cock (of Nelson), and Captain Hennah. The Rev. J. Featherston, MeMiodist minister, who has been transferred to Inglewood_, waS 4 presented by his Timaru congregation with a purse of sovereigns, and his wife was presented with a gold brooch. Mr. D. A. Aiken, general manager of the Union Steam Ship Company, was a passenger from the South by the Wahine this morning. Mr. 'J. Findlay, manager for New Zealand of the Shaw, Savfll, and Albion Company, also arrived by the vessel. Mr. Stanley Hutton, of the staff of Messrs. Aitken, Wilson, and Co., leaves to-morrow for Melbourne, where he intends to settle permanently. Mr Hutton has done valuable service as a member of the Savage Club and the Orpheus Quartet, and his loss will be felfc considerably in musical circles. Messrs. J. H. Triggs (Public Service Commissioner), H. 0. H. Blow (Undersecretary for Public Works), and J. Hislop (Under-Secretary for Internal Affairs) 1 * returned this morning from Blenheim, where they have been enquiring into the question of Government office accommodation. Captain T. E. Estcourt, AfieistantMilitary Secretary to the General Officer Commanding the' New Zealand Forces (Major-General Godley), has resigned his position on the' New Zealand staff, and will proceed Home shortly to rejoin his regiment the 2nd Dragoons (Royal Scots Greys). He will be succeeded by Lieut. J. M. Richmond, of the R.N.Z.A. a Mr. M. A. Carr, of Messrs. Mandel and Carr. wholesale jewellers, left last Friday by the Willochra en route to England and the Continent. On the eve of Ins departure the stalf presented him with a travelling rug and wished him "bon voyage." A number of his personal friends also gathered at the Empire Hotel to wish him good-bye. Mr. Carr expects to return to the Dominion about October next. The funeral of the late Mr. M. J. Landers, foimurly of the Haibour Board service, _took place yesterday afternoon, at the Karori Cemetery. Amongst thosp who attended were a number of Har bour Board employees and representatives of the local Veterans' Association. Mr Landers had served in the New Zealand war. The cortege was headed by a- firing party from the Permanent Artillery, and a bugler from 11. M.5. Torch sounded "The Last Post." Dean Regnault officiated at the graveside. Mr. J. Sjbrauchon, Under-Secretary for Lands, retires from the service at the end of this month. His successor is Mr. John Mackenzie, Surveyor-General, who will be replaced by Mr. E. H. Wilmot, Chief Surveyor, Dunedin. Mr. Wilmot's position at Dunediii will be filled by Mr. R. T. Sadd, Chief Surveyor, Napier, and he, in turn, will be replaced by Mr. W. H. Skinner, Chief Surveyor, Blenheim. Mr. H. 6. Price, Chief Draughtsman, Christchurch, has been appointed Chief Surveyor at Blenheim, in place pi Mr. Skinner.
