PREMIER AT CHRISTCHURCH MIDLAND RAILWAY.
(IT TRLEOKAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Replying to a deputation regarding the completion of the Midland Railway, the Right lion. W. F. Massey, Piime Minister, said the Government was convinced of the necessity of pushing the work forward. All doubt regarding the success of the tunnel had been removed. He held out no hope of acceleration of the construction works. Mr. Massey piomised to consider a lequesb for the establishment of an expeiiinentaJ poultry farm in Canterbury.
