WOOL AND SKIN SALE
The supplementary wool sale of th 191344 Wellington season was held a the Town Hail yesterday. A catalogu of 1200 bales was offered. Averag prices were as follow : — Wool— Crossbre fine lO'd to lO^d per lb, crossbred me dlum coarse 9d to lo£d, crossbred in ferior B^d to 9d, pieces' and bellies 5< to 7^d, locks and stained pieces 4d t s£d, crutchings medium to good 7d t lid, lambs 9d to ll£d, lambs seedy t inferior 7jd to B|d. The usual for) nightly hide, skin, and tallow sale were held at the same time, and price are reported as follow : — SheepskinsHalfTrred 9d, fine crossbred B£d to 9c3 medium to coarse crossbred 8d to Bi<i short to half-wools 6£d to 7|d, dead an cbmaged crossbred 6^d to 7^d, infei'ic and badly damaged 4d to 6id, lambs 7£ to B^d, damp, salted and green 3s 9 *o 4s lid, pelts 6^d to 7d. Hides— Ox heavy 9d to 9|d, ox me dium B|d to 9|d, ox light 8d to 9|d cow heavy B^d to 9d, medium B|d t 9Jd, light B^d to 9d, cut. slippy an superior 6£d to 6^d, bull stag 6£d t 6|d, yearlings 9d to 10|d, calf superio ll^d to 12|d, calf medium to good 10 £< to 12d, damaged 7£d to 9id. Tallow— ln casks 26s 6d to 27s 9d in tins, etc., 16s 6d to 25s 6d. Sundries-^-Horsehair Is 3d to Is 6d cowtails Is 6d to Is 6Ad, cowhair 102' to ll^d. The selling brokers were Dalgety an' C 0.,, 350 bales of wool; Levin and Co. 280 ; Murray, Roberts and Co., 250 Loan and Mercantile, 200 ; Abraham an Williams, 120; United and Wairarap Farmers, 20 j and W. and G. Turnbull 10 bales.
