GENERAL SMUTS DURING THE STONEWALL.
CAPTTOWN, 6th March. General Smuts, Minister of Defence, eat as silent as the Sphinx for twentytwo hours under the Labour attack during the discussion on the Peace Preservation Bill. At the conclusion of the stonewall General Smuts and Mr. Cresswell, leader of the Labour Party, exchanged courtesies.
