SENSELESS JOKE
BOGUS MESSAGE FROM THE SEA. (BY TELEGRAPH.— I'ftKSS ASSOCIATION.) GREYMOUTH, This Day., A bottle picked up on the beach contained the following message: — "Send out the tug or rescue boat at once. 15 miles south of Seven Mile." It was signed by several persons known in Greymouth. Stean; was got up on the harbour board's tug, when it was discovered the message was .1 hoax. Tho party had been out fishing on Sunday last. They «dmit it was a senseless joke, and made no further explanation", except that they wanted to see what became of it.
