Hannay) play, "General John Regan,'' was acted at Westport, where Mi. Hannay was "ector for twenty years. Four hundred persons attacked the company, broke the windows of their hotel, stormed the stage, and smashed the scenery. The police dispersed them with their batons. .The demonstrations are djie to the belief that "Ballymoy" of the play was Westport. '
