*»» — REV. CANON GOODYEAR. (BY TELEORAPH— PP.ESS ASSOCIATION.) TAURANGA, This Day. Tho death has occurred of the Rev. Canon Goodyear, aged sixty-three, superintending Maori missioner for the Bay of Plenty, including Rotorua. He was the last of the Maori missioners sent out by the Church Missionary Society. He arrived at Wairoa., Hawkes Bay, in 1878, was transferred to Maketu in 1883, and to Tauranga in 1896. He leaves a widow, two sons and seven daughters.
