— SUSPENSION OP SINKING FUND INCOME TAX TO BE MODIFIED. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) (Received January 19, 9.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The State Treasurer proposes to suspend the operation of the Sinking Fund till the deficit (£1,900,0^0) is wiped off tho State accounts. He also proposes to modify thejneome tax in such a way as to bring mote revenue.
