A bad blow has been dealt women's suffrage, a majority of the members of the House Rules Committee deciding against the creation of a Special Committee to deal, with the suffrage question. Tho Suffragists had built high hopes upon this Committee. VIOLENT SYLVIA. ADVISES FOLLOWERS TO ARM. (Received January 19, 9 a.m.J LONDON, 18th January. Miss Sylvia Pankhurst, the Suffragette leader, speaking, at Hackney, advised hearers not to attend meetings unless they went armed.
