«*-— - — t , INCREASED ARMAMENTS EXTENSION OF POLITICAL BIGHTS TO WOMEN. (By telegraph.— Pre^s Association.— Copyright.) (Eeceived January 19, 9 a.m.) STOCKHOLM, 18th January. The King, in opening the Riksdag, announced that .there would be an increase in armaments, the extra cost to be made up by a special tax on the larger fortunes and higher incomes. He declared that justice and the welfare of the State demanded an extension of political rights to women.
