Preparations are being made for the despatch of the French Gunboat Zeclee to Palmerston Island to rescue the castaways from the wrecked barqno,- Lntonr d'Auvergne. The French Consul has also commtmicated with New Caledonia with tlie view to the despatch of a relief vessel from there.
