ART SALE

There was not a large attendance of tho public at the sale ot etchings, drawings, and oil and water colour paintings at Messrs. W. H. Tuvnbull and Cam* party's rooms yesterday afternoon. Oils ana water colours failed to realise good prices, and many of the extremely fine etchings were sacrificed. The Brangwyn etching went for 21 guineas to Mr. Hope, "of Tiniaru, wh,o also purchased the tinted etching, ''Dark Augeih" for 15 guineas. Original etchings by Whistler, Bartolozzi, Jacomb Hood, and others wore sold at low prices. Most of the Rembrandt etchings were passed in, the prices offered being not near the reeevva.
